The transformer will reduce the power to a safe 18volts so you can then run standard house cable or an extension lead with the end plugs removed, (which ever is cheaper) above or below ground or even along your fence to the auto-gate control box at the gate. This will save you hundreds of dollars on installation costs of mains power and you can install this yourself.
